AZALEAS

4/15 Thursday Hammond, LA - Bogalusa,LA 55 miles

And another great ride day, cool and breezy in the morning, warm and breezy in the afternoon. Mostly quiet country roads. Azaleas continue to astound. They are often used as hedges between towering pine trees along the roads. The word is that to our great fortune, they were 3 weeks late in blooming because of an unusually cold winter.OK after today I will try not to post any more azalea or cow pictures- we are on back roads so photo opportunities are limited! Included also is police escort picture and a live oak photo op.

  1. Never tire of the flower pictures - and I even like the cows! Cool about the police escort.
